On Saturday, November 23, the gallery will present a special trunk show from 4-7pm. The trunk show will feature two innovative and socially conscious designers from San Francisco: VOZ, a new collaborative artisan/ designer group making its Napa Valley premiere, and Sarah Graham, a master jewelry artist and long-time gallery favorite.
Based in the SF Bay Area and Southern Chile, VOZ ("Voice" in Spanish) blends the work of indigenous artisans with collaborative fashion design. The trunk show will feature a wide selection of their handmade garments and accessories featuring premium natural and ecological fibers, hand-dyed and woven that celebrate ancient traditions. VOZ has been recently highlighted in the New York Times, Elle, and American Craft Magazine.
The afternoon will also feature jewelry by SF artist, Sarah Graham. Known for her textural, organic designs in oxidized cobalt chrome, and 18kt white and yellow gold, Sarah also uses her work to support social action and sustainable practices. She sources her metals from a Portland, OR refinery that specializes in recycling precious metals and also uses conflict-free white, black and cognac diamonds. Each year Sarah also raises funds for Namaste Direct, a non-profit organization that makes micro loans to women entrepreneurs in Central America. Since launching her line in 2000, her work has been featured in Elle, Allure, Modern Bride, Sports Illustrated and O magazines.
